Former Minister Ghazi al-Aridi stressed the importance of security, stability and development in the “Mountain”, noting that anything that can target these headlines will lead to an issue.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, al-Aridi tackled the meeting held in Laklouk between Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil and MP Teymour Jumblatt, saying that the meeting came upon an invitation and the discussions were honest.
“We are partners in the country and we must meet and hold talks; we do not want a sectarian rhetoric,” he explained, adding that no one can work alone to resolve the country’s issues.
The former minister said that “Bassil is one of the hardest working people in the country.”
On another note, al-Aridi stressed that he is against the adopted policy in the government against the Lebanese Forces.
