Libya minister quits after criticism over handling of violence
Libya's interior minister Fawzi Abdel Al resigned on Sunday after being criticised for not doing enough to curb a surge of violence over the past two days, an aide said.

Attackers, who some officials described as ultra-conservative Islamists, bulldozed two sites sacred to Sufi Muslims in the western town of Zlitan and the capital Tripoli on Friday and Saturday.
