Tenenti: UNIFIL firefighters helped extinguishing fire in Mazraat el-Daher

UNIFIL Spokesperson Andrea Tenenti said on Tuesday that firefighters from the UNIFIL partook with the Lebanese Civil Defense and the Lebanese armed forces in extinguishing the fires in the village of Mazraat el-Daher, 15 km northeast of the city of Sidon.

“UNIFIL’s firefighters supported the Lebanese emergency services by providing three fire trucks this afternoon, and that upon the request of the Lebanese authorities," he added.

Tenenti also stressed that the "UNIFIL sent the emergency assistance after touching the extent of damages that the raging fires could cause to the local communities."
