Lebanese Forces party chief Samir Geagea called on Prime Minister Saad Hariri to submit the resignation of the cabinet.
In a statement issued on Friday, Geagea said that “he is addressing Hariri with honesty, urging him to present the cabinet’s resignation given its utter failure in stopping the deterioration of the economic situation and the living conditions in the country, which has led the country to its current state.”
“I am well aware of the efforts deployed by Hariri in order to fix the situation but the ministerial majority was somewhere else unfortunately,” he added.
The LF chief stated that the best thing that can Hariri offer during these difficult times is the resignation of the government, in anticipation of the formation of a new cabinet completely different from this one.
