Hariri follows up on country’s situation, meets BDL Governor
Prime Minister Saad Hariri reiterated on Wednesday the necessity to protect the protests and to open roads across all Lebanese regions.
 
This as Hariri is reportedly following up on the developments related to the situation on the field, as well as the country’s financial situation.
 
Hariri met with Banque Du Liban Governor Riad Salameh. He also met with a delegation from the Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL) with discussions focusing on the banking and monetary situation, the exchange rate of the Lebanese lira following the closure of banks since Friday.
 
Discussions also tackled the role of banks in reducing the debt service expected next year.
 

This as Hariri also held a meeting at the Bayt al-Wasat to discuss the financial and economic reforms.

 

The meeting was attended by Ministers Ali Hassan Khalil, Salim Jreissati, Youssef Finianos, Mohamad Fnesih, Wael Abou Farour, Jamal al-Jarrah, Mohamad Choucciar, Adel Afiouni, Saleh al-Gharib, Albert Serhan, Mansour Bteish and a number of advisors.
