The UK embassy in Lebanon declared via Twitter that Britain allocated an amount of $25 million to support the Lebanese Armed Forces, as part of an ongoing assistance to the army and the security forces.
“UK announces up to $25m in support to LAF for 2019-2022, part of our ongoing support to the sole legitimate defender of Lebanon. The security forces are entrusted with keeping Lebanon safe - including securing the borders, stopping terrorism & protecting peaceful protests,” the Tweet read.
