The Economic Bodies decided on Wednesday to suspend the general strike, noting that a meeting will be held early next week to take the necessary measures.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Lebanese economic bodies declared that, after the numerous reviews conducted regarding the needs of the private institutions, in order to avoid any repercussions that may backfire away from the intended goals of the strike and to maintain the survival of the private institutions amid the current difficult situation, the group decided to suspend the general strike that would coincide with the end of the month and the pay day of the employees.
