Caretaker Prime Minister Saad Hariri expressed gratitude to France and the United Nations for calling on the International Support Group for Lebanon to meet in Paris today (Wednesday), thanking as well all of Lebanon’s friends and representatives of international institutions who participated in the meeting and expressed their keenness on assisting Lebanon in ending the tough current economic crisis.
Hariri said that he read the final statement issued by the group, adding that he thinks that ending the crisis requires a swift formation of a cabinet of experts who will form a credible and competent coherent team capable of answering the people’s demands.
He also stressed the need for a rescue plan that covers the economic, social, monetary, financial and productivity levels, emphasizing the importance of implementing the plan with a support from Lebanon’s friends in the International Community, international financial institutions and Arab funds.
