Sarhan meets with Japanese ambassador, discusses means to boost bilateral ties

Caretaker Minister of Justice Albert Serhan met on Friday with Japanese Ambassador to Lebanon Takeshi Okubo, where they discussed means to develop bilateral relations between Lebanon and Japan, especially at the judicial level.

The Japanese diplomat affirmed his country's keenness on the good existing relationship between Lebanon and Japan, asserting that the issue of former CEO of Nissan-Renault-Mitsubishi companies Carlos Ghosn, will not affect said ties.

For his part, Minister Serhan stressed the independence of the Lebanese judiciary in dealing with all cases, including that of Ghosn.
