BDL Governor Salameh: Depositors will not lose their deposits in Lebanese banks-[VIDEO]

Banque Du Liban Governor Riyad Salameh said on Thursday that depositors will not lose their deposits in the Lebanese banks.

Salameh’s comments were made during an interview with France 24 whereby he noted that the exchange rate of the Lebanese lira will remain in the range of 1,500 LBP to the US dollar.

The governor also tackled the current situation of the Lebanese banks saying that the current crisis is a result of the "programmed campaigns" that targeted the banking sector since 2015.
