Organization of Islamic Cooperation rejects Trump peace plan
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) rejected U.S. President Donald Trump's Middle East peace plan on Monday at a summit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The 57-member organization called on all member states not to engage with Trump's plan or cooperate with the U.S. administration in implementing it in any form.

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyadh al-Malki called the deal "an assault on international order".

The Palestinian Authority cut all ties with the United States and Israel, including those relating to security, after rejecting the peace plan, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Saturday.

Abbas was in Cairo on Saturday to address the Arab League, which backed the Palestinians in their opposition to Trump's plan.

The blueprint for Trump's peace plan, endorsed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calls for the creation of a demilitarized Palestinian state that excludes Jewish settlements built in occupied territory and is under near-total Israeli security control.
