New Us sanctions on Hezbollah accused of undermining regional stability

The United States accused on Thursday Hezbollah and its Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah of undermining regional stability and posing a direct threat to Lebanon’s security by supporting Syrian President Bashar Assad and his regime.

The U.S. Treasury said in a statement that “Hezbollah's actions, overseen by Hassan Nasrallah clearly reveal its true nature as a terrorist and criminal organization”, announcing new sanctions on the party and its Secretary General that freeze their assets in the US.
