BDL issues circular on money exchangers

The Banque Du Liban issued on Friday a circular aiming at regulating the work of money exchangers.

The circular asked money exchangers to “exceptionally abide by the maximum purchase price of foreign currencies against the Lebanese lira in a manner that does not exceed 30% of the price set by the BDL in its dealing with banks.”

It also asked money exchangers not to carry out any exchange operation that does abide by the set percentage in the circular.
