Minister of Finance Ghazi Wazni voiced on Monday his rejection to the decision issued by the Association of Banks in Lebanon to close until March 29 in order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
"The banking sector is vital and essential in people's daily lives," Wazni said to the sate-run National News Agency.
He also added that work shift could be organized alongside other measures recommended by the Cabinet “in order to meet the needs of the Lebanese people amid this critical time.”
