Pakistan government rejects bounty offered to kill filmmaker

The Pakistan government distanced itself on Sunday from a $100,000 bounty offered by a cabinet minister for the death of the maker of the anti-Islam film that has sparked protests across the Muslim world.

The spokesperson of the Pakistani Prime Minister stressed that “this is not our government policy”.

Railways Minister Ghulam Ahmed Bilour has called on members of Taliban and Al-Qaeda to take part in the "noble deed”, and offered a $100,000 bounty to kill filmmaker.
