Economy Minister Nehmeh: No taxes on limited incomes in the near future

Minister of Economy Raoul Nehmeh said on Saturday that the aid of the International Monetary Fund is linked to the reforms that will be implemented by the government.

Nehmeh’s comments were made during a radio interview whereby he stressed that there will be no taxes on those with limited income in the near future.

“On the contrary, work is being done to support them and to remove any harm that the economic crisis might cause to them," he went on saying.

On another note, the minister stressed that dollars will be provided to subsidy the food basket which items are already set.

He also stressed that fines are being given by the Economy Ministry for those who manipulate the food prices.
