Israeli government seeks solutions for internal crisis
The Israeli right-wing government stands at a crossroads where the parties struggle whether to bow for Benjamin Netanyahu’s demands to reduce the budget in such a way that affects the Israelis’ daily life and reduces the military budget, or to deal with this issue by rejecting the budget and having to hold early parliamentary elections.

Netanyahu will end this battle by October 15, while the most probable possibility is expected to be the early elections.

In this context, Netanyahu is seeking to convince his Likud party and other right parties with his budget project, stressing that the reductions will be mandatory and will not affect the military capabilities in facing the dangers of the Iranian nuclear programs or the dangers of the changes taking place in the Arab World and the rockets of Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas. For further pleasing them, Netanyahu went on attacking the Defense Minister Ehud Barack, hated by the right wing.

The Israeli Prime Minister menaced that he will hold early parliamentary elections in case they did not approve his budget.

However, these parties do not seem to be convinced with the Netanyahu’s threats, and consider that holding early elections is mainly because he fears the return of Ehud Olmert to the political scene after he was judged innocent from corruption cases. The parties also consider that Netanyahu fears Barak Obama’s revenge in case the latter was re-elected as US President.

On the other hand, the Israeli government’s parties consider that Netanyahu will hold early elections in both cases.
