Houry, Fatfat comment on Nabi Sheet incident, Hashem responds

MPs Ammar Houry and Ahmad Fatfat commented during the Parliamentary session on the Nabi Sheet incident.      

For his part, MP Ammar Houry said that "from al-Kassir to Nabi Sheet, Jihadism is gambling with the capabilities of Lebanon and its people", noting that "the duty of Jihad has lost its compass."            

"Nabi Sheet is not Kiryat Shmona, al-Kassir is not Galilee and Aleppo is not Haifa," Houry stressed.              

Houry then directed a question to parties distancing themselves from the Syrian crisis asking:"what will your position be towards the Syrian people should Assad fall?"                 "What are your stances regarding the documents published related to implementing crimes in Lebanon?" Houry asked.                      

For his part, MP Ahmad Fatfat noted that "those who speak of distancing Lebanon from the repercussions of the ongoing war in Syria have taken a rude turn, accusing March 14 powers of driving Lebanon towards Syria's war".                   

He pointed that "the party which claims to resist Israel, turned its resistance against democracy and the freedom of the Lebanese people by sending its soldiers to fight the Syrian peopl."                

In turn, Deputy Qassem Hashem, from the Liberation and Development Bloc, said that the war set currently against Syria is "not for the sake of spreading democracy and freedom in Syria, but is due to Syria's stance regarding its support for the Resistance."
