Aridi to public transport employees: commitment to working hours or privatization
Public Works and Transportation Minister Ghazi Aridi called on Wednesday on all employees and drivers in the Lebanese Commuting Company to "commit to the working hours and to protect the institution in order to preserve the people and the employees' interests." This according to Aridi, is in compliance to a carefully drafted plan aimed at preserving the company's survival as a public institution.

He warned that in case they failed to comply, the company will be "doomed to privatization."

"Whoever wants to work is welcome and those who refuse to work can leave; the company can no longer afford to remain in its current situation", Aridi stressed.
