REPORT: "Normality" returns to Beirut, amid LAF deployment

Calm prevailed on Tuesday over the capital, particularly in the streets that witnessed clashes over the past two days, amid ongoing deployment of the Lebanese Army on several locations.

While traffic returned to normal in Tareeq al-Jdideh, Qasqas and Cornishe al-Mazraa, the residents are working on repairing the damages caused by the clashes that lasted two days.

Residents returned to their normal lives, as children went to schools and traders opened their shops, as if nothing has happened.

Heavy gunfire was later heard on Tareeq Jdideh during the funeral of Palestinian national Ahmed Qwaider, killed in yesterday's LAF confrontations.
