Protestors camp outside Mikati’s house, Youth organizations demonstrate before Grand Serail

Protestors outside PM Najib Mikati’s residence in Tripoli continued setting up tents on Sunday, taking all the necessary precautions, in anticipation of rain.      

Protestors, along with the family members of late Major General Wissam Hassan are expected to receive condolences over his death this evening.     


Father of Major General Wissam al-Hassan said to LBCI that his son is a martyr for the whole nation and he doesn’t consider the government responsible for his assassination.

In this regard, the organizers of this sit-in stressed that they will not waiver until they topple the government.          

“Our determination is firm; we will continue fighting until we topple the government; women are directly concerned with our movement”, the coordinator of the Future bloc in the north told LBCI.

Meanwhile, March14 youth organizations held a demonstration before the Grand Serail whereby they asked for the resignation of the cabinet.

They also asked for the expulsion of the Syrian ambassador from Lebanon and withdrawal of Lebanese ambassador to Syria from Damascus.
