One killed, two injured in Tripoli shootout

A quarrel erupted between a number of citizens in Miaatein Street in the northern city of Tripoli over the use of electric generators. The fight escalated into a shootout with the use of light weapons, resulting in the death of one citizen and the injury of two others, a statement by the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) Orientation Directorate said Friday.

An LAF Unit intervened immediately, held a number of checkpoints and raided the homes of those involved in the quarrel.
