Salehi: Israel primary beneficiary from Hassan's assassination

Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said that Israel is the primary beneficiary of the assassination that targeted the ISF Information Branch Brig. Gen. Wissan Hassan, adding that "how would the Syrian regime benefits from assassinating this person."

In an exclusive interview expected to be published in Al Rai Kuwaiti daily and Al Watan Qatari Daily on Sunday, Salehi noted that Brig. Gen. Hassan uncovered 30 Israeli spy networks in Lebanon, stressing that the primary beneficiary from his assassination is Israel. He pointed that when the explosion took place, Iran was the first state to offer condolences to Lebanon.

On the other hand, Salehi said that Iran has a special relation with everyone in Lebanon. "We declared that and we invited M. Saad Hariri to visit Iran, and he did about one year and a half ago. We may have differences but we never interfere in the Lebanese internal affairs, as we hope that explosions will never happen again in Lebanon," he said.
