Kanaan: boycotting parliamentary sessions affects citizens first

Change and Reform bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan stressed on Tuesday that boycotting the parliamentary sessions affects citizens first.

During a press conference he held at Nejmeh Square, Kanaan noted the importance of a number of presented draft laws. Kanaan announced an urgent law proposal pertaining to returning revenues acquired by cell phone companies to municipalities.

On the current situation, he saw that solutions to citizens' problems could not be achieved save through dialogue and the House of Parliament, where parliamentary committees convene to legislate pending issues.

Kanaan underscored the necessity for refraining from boycotting legislative sessions by any political side, "as people's rights must not be blocked."
