Lebanese painter Robert Messarra passes away at 68

Lebanese painter Robert Messarra passed away on Tuesday in the French village of Carcassone village, where he spent his final days.

Born in 1944, Messarra was known for his paintings that reflect Mediterranean villages full of colors and life.

Messarra's reputation crossed the Lebanese and the French frontiers to reach the United States, Canada and Australia. His name was mentioned in various reference guides in the world of art, and he earned a number of shields in honor of his work.
