Mikati congratulates President Obama on his re-election

PM Najib Mikati congratulated on Wednesday President Barack Obama for his re-election and hoped the US would help support Lebanon's sovereignty and independence and boost bilateral relations.

Separately, Mikati received at the Grand Serail the Egyptian Foreign Minister; Mohamed Kamel Amr discussed with him bilateral ties.

Amongst the Grand Serail visitors were the Telecommunications Minister Nicholas Sahnawi, and the Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Stefan de Mistura who expressed Italy's support for Akhdar Librahimi's mission to stop violence in Syria.
