LAF intensifies deployment in Sidon

The Lebanese Armed Forces intensified on Saturday its deployment in the city of Sidon, where it set up permanent and mobile checkpoints and conducted motor and foot patrols to preserve security and stability in the region.

These measures were taken following the security incident which took place on Friday night in Zahra Complex, where two unknown assailants opened fire from behind an earth hill overseeing the complex, while the guards replied to the sources of fire, but no casualties were reported.

This as security forces rushed to scene, inspected the incident and launched an investigation in the case to uncover the perpetrators.
