Mikati denies having any contact with Assad

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati reiterated on Tuesday his confirmation that he is against the use of Hezbollah's arms on the local scene, stressing that the solution can only be reached through dialogue.

Mikati told LBCI that the current cabinet has the less Shiite representation.

"Why are they holding be responsible for the weapons' issue in Lebanon while is has existed decades ago?" Mikati asked.

Answering a question, Mikati noted that Saudi Arabia is well aware of the fact that everything he does is right and for Lebanon's interest, denying having any contact with the Syrian President Bashar Assad.
