LBCI's Andraous and Baitamouni file a complaint against Lebanese websites

Lawyer Naoum Farah, representing LBCI and colleagues Nada Andraous Aziz and Said Baytamouni, and lawyer Wayghan Farhat representing colleague Sami Baytamouni, filed a complaint before the first investigative judge in Beirut against the following websites: Now Lebanon, Alkalima Online, Lebanon Debate, Beirut Observer, Youkal.net and Shafaf (شفاف).

The websites are accused of reporting false information on Nada Andraous and Sami Baytamouni, claiming that the two revealed the location of the Lebanese pilgrims who remain detained in Syria’s Aazaz to Hezbollah. The websites claim that the area was bombarded following Andraos' and Baitamouni's report to Hezbollah which in turn leaked the information to the Syrian regime.

Attorneys Farah and Farhat, representing their clients, raised personal claims against these websites and parties involved for inciting death threats against colleagues Nada Andraous Aziz and Sami Baytamouni.
