REPORT: Lebanese youths swing between dialogue and non-dialogue

Youth organizations gathered around a dialogue table held by the Progressive Socialist Party and the Permanent Peace Movement despite the prevailing atmosphere of divisions. The parties’ youth convened at the UNESCO Palace to look into the means to preserve civil peace.

At the end of the discussion, the participants voiced their rejection of violence and shed the light on the importance of human rights and the respect of democratic choices. The meeting was marked by heated debates on coexistence, weapons and civil peace.

At UNESCO, Baabda and everywhere else, the same debate repeats itself. Youths are just like their leaders, swinging between dialogue and non-dialogue.
