Harb: March8 forces will work on disrupting the elections

MP Boutros Harb said on Tuesday that the stance of Justice Minister Shakib Qortbawi and Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui regarding the demand of the Information Branch which is related to the data of short messages is unacceptable.

Harb said that their decision is rejected because the Information Branch revealed that the assassin of Brigadier General Wissam al-Hassan used text messages to communicate.

Speaking to Radio Free Lebanon, Harb said that investigations in his assassination attempt are not advancing and asked the Government Commissioner to the Military Court to raise a claim. Should the latter reject, the Public Prosecutor must ask him to do so and if the Prosecutor rejects, then the Minister of Justice must raise the claim himself.

"If these steps do not take place, the Cabinet must resign," Harb added.

Regarding the elections, MP Harb said that March8 forces will work hard to disrupt the elections since these elections threaten the survival of the current government.
