Mikati: Government’s plan for displaced Syrians complete

Prime Minister Najib Mikati said that the government’s plan to deal with the displaced Syrians earned the approval, praise and admiration of all the participants in the meeting of donor states and organizations. “The plan has become complete and is no longer partial,” he said.

While heading the second meeting for donor states and organizations to discuss the support of the Lebanese government to the relief and sheltering of displaced Syrians at the Grand Serail in the presence of ministers, Mikati said that the government’s plan will be included as part of the U.N. plan to respond to the issue of displaced Syrians in the region and will be launched next Wednesday in Geneva.

While Minister of Social Affairs Wael Abou Faour informed donors of the arrival of 22 trucks carrying displaced Syrians from the Yamouk camp, Health Minister Ali Hassan Khalil warned of the outbreak of infectious diseases among displaced Syrians and the societies which are hosting a large number of them.
