Sleiman: national dialogue is essential

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman said on Tuesday that the Patriarch's task will be difficult to keep the Christians in the Arab Orient and added that it is the responsibility of Arab leaders to uphold to minorities in Arab countries because they were founders of the renaissance of these countries               


After visiting the newly elected Patriarch youhanna Yazigi at the Our Lady of Balamand Monastery, the president said that Christians in Lebanon should maintain their situation in order to spare their parents the implications of what is happening externally.                


"If before we paid the price of our non-democratic surroundings, today we should be keep Lebanese citizens away from paying for the democracy of others," he added.                 Sleiman added that he insists on national dialogue and said that elections will take place on their due time.                 


Sleiman concluded as saying that he does not have information about the US telecom station.
