Sleiman condemns Israel's decision to build new settlements

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman condemned on Friday the Israeli decision to build 2600 new settler housing units, despite the opposition of the International Community.

While receiving guests, Sleiman said that this policy reveals Israel's intention to reject the international efforts deployed in order to restore peace in the region and to recognize Palestinian rights, mainly their right to have an independent state and the right to return to their homeland.
