Three bodies of Talkalakh victims arrive to Lebanon

The bodies of three Talkalakh victims, identified as Malek Hajj Deeb, Abdul Karim Ibrahim and Husssein Srour, arrived on Saturday to Lebanon.           

The convoy transporting the bodies went to Abu Ali roundabout amid fireworks and gunshots fired in the air, the convoy will head to the Great Al-Mansouri Mosque to make sure of the bodies' identities, then to the houses of their relatives.

Prayers will be held in the afternoon at al-Taqwa Mosque in Tripoli.

In this context, the spokesman of the committee formed by the victims’ relatives, Mohammad Ibrahim told LBCI that Mohammad Rifaii is still missing from the group, and Hassan Srour is detained, stressing that they will keep on working by peaceful means to reveal the fate of the missing person and to release the detainee.               

It is worth mentioning that four unidentified bodies remain in the Syrian territories.  

On the 30th of November 2012, reports emerged saying that a number of Lebanese nationals died in a Syrian ambush in the bordering town of Talkalakh.                   

At least 14 Lebanese and Palestinian gunmen from north Lebanon were reportedly killed, with three wounded and detained in the ambush. Syrian state television aired graphic video of the dead men, riddled with gunshot wounds and lying in the grass.
