Over 550 Syrian children were born in Lebanon

According to the weekly report of the UNHCR, the number of Syrian refugees registered with the UNHCR in Lebanon reached 170,637 by the end of last week, 126,724 of whom are already registered with the Commissioner while 43,913 are still waiting to be registered.       

The UNHCR registered over 24,000 refugees in December at its registration centers in Tripoli, Beirut, the Bekaa and south Lebanon, in addition to the mobile registration groups. The displaced Syrians who are currently registered are distributed as follows:  64,798 in north Lebanon, 49,692 in the Bekaa and 12,234 in Beirut and south Lebanon.
