Woman involved in car theft and kidnap arrested

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces declared that over the last three months of 2012, an unidentified woman lured three taxi drivers into the Bekaa region where their cars were stolen in cooperation with other persons.        

The Directorate issued a statement whereby it noted that after intensive follow-up, monitoring and tracking, the International Anti-Theft Crimes Bureau of the Judicial Police Unit was able to determine the location of the woman and arrest her in al-Sollom Street on the 31st of December 2012. The detainee was identified as 30-year-old M. Z.         

Following interrogation, the woman confessed that she coordinating with other persons to steal the aforementioned cars, as well as a 2011 Hyundai SUV after the guise of rent using forged documents from a leasing company in the region of Bir Hassan.             

The detainee also confessed that around one month ago she kidnapped a child who was identified as H. S. from the town of Chmestar, blackmailed his parents before returning him.
