REPORT: Displaced Syrians scattered on the borders of their country

The Syrian crisis entered its second year as batches of Syrians kept fleeing to border regions.

The same situation repeats itself at al-Salama crossing located on the Turkish-Syrian border and at border points adjacent to Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq were displaced Syrians are desperately looking for a safe haven.

The number of Syrians displaced to neighboring countries increased seven folds in the past 7 months, according to statistics conducted by the UNHCR. The number of those displaced is expected to register a further increase in 2013.
