Sleiman intends to make political diplomatic move regarding refugees file

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman revealed his intention to make a political diplomatic move in the few coming days towards the European Union and a number of western states, noting that his move will include the Prime Minister, the Social Affairs Minister and other parties concerned with the refugees file.          

Sleiman told al-Anbaa Newspapers that there are electoral law proposals which violate the constitution such as the Orthodox gathering proposal that lack necessary details , reiterating his call for a legitimate proposal that commits to the constitution in order to prevent appeals.               

In this context, Sleiman said that the best way to end this "sharp division" between the Lebanese political parties is through discussing and developing the draft law approved by the cabinet, and turning it into a law that satisfies all sides.                

On the other hand, Sleiman stressed that the administrative appointments are ongoing according to the adopted mechanism, reiterating his call for appointing the council of deans of the Lebanese university as soon as possible.
