Maher al-Mokdad to be released this evening

Military Investigative Judge Imad Zein received the lawsuit of the military prosecution against 47 people including detainee Maher al-Mokdad and dozens of other unidentified detainees accused of committing crimes, stealing, kidnapping, forging, possessing weapons, threatening by use of weapons …

Mount Lebanon's First Investigative Magistrate had announced that since he was not entitled to look into this case, he referred it to the Military Prosecution which in turn referred it to Judge Zein who asked for bringing detainee Maher al-Mokdad to his department today afternoon for interrogation.

Maher al-Mokdad was brought it in and Judge Zein interrogated him for an hour and a half. He will be releasing him this evening, after the Miliary Prosecution Court agreed to release him on 12 million LBP bail.
