"My Nationality is a Right for Me and my Family Campaign" stage sit-in

After rejecting the amendment of the nationality law, “My Nationality is a Right for Me and my Family Campaign” staged a sit-in on the road leading to the Presidential Palace, calling for implementation of the Constitution.

The Lebanese women addressed the politicians saying: “If you refuse to give us our rights from a humanitarian basis, remember that we are still Lebanese and the parliamentary elections will be a date for our payback.”

Article 7 of the Lebanese constitution stipulates that all Lebanese citizens are equal under the law.
