Abou Jamra to LBCI: Why is there a total rejection for 1960 electoral law?

Former Deputy Prime Minister Brig. Gen. Issam Abou Jamra stressed on Saturday that the elections are a constitutional operation that must be held in time, noting that the preparations that take place before the date of the elections are very essential.

While explaining that he does not support the 60s law, Abou Jamra asked, through Nharkom Said, all those who are rejecting this law about the reasons behind their total rejection and the holes that must be reformed.

However, Abou Jamra pointed out that the Orthodox gathering’s draft law will benefit him on a personal level, but on the ground, it will result in conflicts and disputes.

Commenting on Tripoli’s incident on Friday, Abou Jamra described the situation of the city as difficult, calling on the government to take the decision of removing the arms from Tripoli starting with Jabal Mohsen.
