REPORT: Insulted, kicked out of a restaurant for asking to respect non-smoking law

The law which bans smoking in public places is subject to numerous violations especially in restaurants.

This report will examine an incident that happened with the citizen Dalal Mouawad who was insulted and kicked out of a restaurant, by its manager, when she simply asked him to respect the law after she realized that a number of people were smoking inside the pub.

Accordingly, Mouawad decided that the best way to expose her point of view was through social media platforms where she wrote the details of the incident and the insults of the restaurant’s manager who used expressions like “I am sick of people like you”.

However, Mouawad considered that “the incident by itself is not a problem, but the problem lies in the fact that no one protects those who try to protect the law," as she said.
