Jumblatt: Reigniting "arms debate" is not the solution

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt said on Monday that recreating a debate over the issue of arms is not a solution, noting that acting in accordance with the Baabda declaration and the restrictions defined by President Michel Sleiman are the right way to "redirect the weapons target" in order to prevent them from being exploited.

In its weekly statement to al-Anbaa Daily, Jumblatt noted that, during his last visit to Saudi Arabia, officials expressed their keenness on Lebanon’s stability.
