4G Technology tested in Achrafieh

Touch Company organized, in cooperation with Huawai Company, a live presentation for the fourth generation technology 4G LTE over bands ranging from of 800-1800 MHz, in the first experiment of its kind at a global level, which was held in the center of Sassine Square in Achrafieh.

In this context, Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui noted that “today’s event was very important,” pointing out that this experiment was the first of its kind worldwide, especially that it was implemented on bands ranging from 800 to 1800 MHz.

Sehnaoui added that “the event reflects an advanced and bright image of Lebanon,” promising the Lebanese people for more progress and development.

The live presentation included a speed test which reached 255 Megabits per second, followed by a test for the high definition video streaming and file transfer.
