Iran calls on BRICS to confront alleged violations of international law

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in a statement posted on Telegram on Thursday that BRICS member states should condemn what he described as violations of international law by the United States and Israel.

He also called on the group’s countries to prevent the politicization of international institutions.

“We must all break the West’s false sense of superiority and immunity,” he said.

BRICS includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia.
