LAF arrests kidnapping cells across Lebanon

The Intelligence Directorate of the Lebanese Army issued a statement on Wednesday declaring that it had arrested Moussa Ali Harb in Beirut on February 23 upon the judiciary's order, for planning to kidnap citizen Ali Al Sabbah.

Following interrogations, Harb said that he planned with other accomplices to abduct Al Sabbah and to release him in exchange of ransom, upon collecting the information that reveals his whereabouts and movements.

In addition, the Intelligence department thwarted a planned kidnapping operation by Ziad Abd Al Din Al Jamal. Ziad alongside two accomplices were reportedly aiming at abducting the son of the owner of the Al Amir Bakery in Tripoli.
