Charbel: The security situation is a ‘red line’

Interior Minister Marwan Charbel said on Friday that the security apparatuses will work on implementing a plan in order to settle the abductions' issue in the country.

Following an extraordinary meeting of the Central Security Council, Charbel said that identities of kidnappers have been unveiled, adding that there is no political or sectarian cover for this issue.

"54 persons involved in the abductions were arrested so far,” he added.

On another note, Charbel said that Sheikh Ahmad Assir was informed that it is forbidden to undermine the security situation, pointing out that the security apparatuses will carry out their duties in this regard.
