Gunmen kill Nigerian army commander

Tension has intensified in Enugu, the capital of Nigeria’s Enugu State, following the brutal murder of the commissioner of police, Kwara State command, Mr. Chinwike Asadu, by unknown gunmen.              

Asadu was shot dead on Saturday at Amorji Nike, near the densely populated Abakpa-Nike area in Enugu East LGA, about 10pm.              

According to sources, Asadu was driving into his private residence when criminals shot him, as they were suspected to have set up an ambush around his residence.
