Judge Saqr demands hard labor for suspect involved in MP Harb's attempted assassination
        
The State Commissioner to the Military Court, Judge Saqr Saqr reviewed on Wednesday the case of the attempted assassination of MP Boutros Harb, calling for the application of Article 549\201 and both Articles 5 and 6 stipulated in the law issued on 11\1\1958 in the case of fugitive suspect Mahmoud al-Hayek.       

In this regard, Judge Saqr referred the case to the military investigating Judge Fadi Sawan in order to issue the indictment.        

The aforementioned articles stipulate hard labor for life against the suspect.           

On February 1st 2013, the Government Commissioner to the Military Court, Judge Saqr Saqr filed a lawsuit against Mahmoud al-Hayek on charges of attempting to assassinate MP Harb at his office in Badaro in addition to other terrorist acts. The lawsuit was later referred to the First Military Investigative Judge.
